Synopsis: The focus of the current call is on EdTech, defined as the combined use of digital technologies and pedagogy to facilitate teaching and learning.
Wehubit is implemented by the Belgian development agency, Enabel, together with its partner, the Belgian Investment Company for Developing countries, BIO, on behalf of the Belgian development cooperation.
Digital technologies can be instrumental to ensure continuity of learning during the COVID-19 crisis and have the potential to also improve access, quality and effectiveness of education through a broad range of use cases, amongst which:
• Quality of learning:
o Increase access to quality resources
o Improve and diversify learner engagement
• Access to learning:
o Inclusion (to improve access and lower barriers to learning)
o Provide access to 21st century skills (learning and innovation skills, digital
literacy skills, career and life skills)
o Enable lifelong learning
• Teaching & training:
o Build capacities of teachers to use EdTech
• School and educational governance & policy:
o Monitor attendance
o Support educational resource management
