SYNOPSIS
The Connecting the Unconnected funding program, led by the Internet Society Foundation, supports community-led initiatives that build or expand Internet infrastructure to serve rural, remote, and low-income communities. The goal is to increase digital inclusion by strengthening community networks, municipal networks, cooperatives, and other complementary access solutions.
Eligible applicants must demonstrate local community support, have a designated project lead, a sustainability plan, and a legal bank account. Applications must be submitted via the Fluxx grants system and may be written in English, French, or Spanish.
Projects should focus on expanding connectivity to the underserved and unconnected, and will be reviewed based on community need, feasibility, and long-term impact.
The next funding windows will open on July 15th until August 27th.
